Hiking, cross-country skiing and swimming locally. The spaceVarildgården has five bedrooms and 12 beds, with plenty of space around the table both inside and outside. There are two bathrooms – one with a double shower and one with a large bathtub. The kitchen is fully equipped and the living room has two seating areas, so it is easy to be many together. In the yard, the campfire pan is ready for evenings with sausages and hot chocolate. Here you live close to nature, right by Bogselven and just a stone’s throw from Varaldsjøen. Lysløype, hiking trails and Finnskogleden are located right next to the house. Perfect base for swimming, paddling or skiing and rowing – all year round.Guest accessThe whole house is at your disposal and the key is in the key box at the front door. There are several nice outdoor areas that can be used and there is plenty of space around the dining table and the sofa groups inside. The bedrooms are spacious and there is plenty of space in the two bathrooms. Here is all the equipment for the house, so here you should feel at home. There is a dishwasher, fridge and freezer in the kitchen and extra fridge in the basement. There is a kettle, coffee maker for filter coffee, Dolce Gusto capsule machine, bread maker, Soda Stream, waffle iron, rice cooker etc. in the kitchen. Plenty of plates, cups and bowls, glasses and cutlery. There are some basic items in the kitchen such as oil, vinegar, spices, salt and pepper, flour, etc. Here you have good opportunities to prepare nice meals. There is an oven, stove and fan in the kitchen. Outside there is both a gas grill (with gas) and a charcoal grill. There is a fireplace, heat pump and panel heaters for heating in the kitchen and heat pumps and/or panel heaters for heating in all rooms. Heating cables in the floor in one bathroom. In the basement there is a laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer. The greenhouse/orangery is nice to use on rainy days and cold evenings to escape the weather, but still be “outdoors”. There is a small red boat of 8 feet along the wall of the barn building that can be carried down to the water and there are a couple of fishing rods and life jackets in the back of the house that can be used if you like to fish (spring, summer and autumn). In winter the water below the house freezes. The outdoor fireplace and the brazier are cozy to use all year round, there are reindeer skins, sheepskins and carpets in the cabin that can be used around the brazier when it is cold outside. In summer when the weather is nice, it is cozy to cover the tables outside with tablecloths that hang in one of the cabinets in the bathroom. Then you can set the table for breakfast or dinner with wildflowers in a vase as the icing on the cake.Other things to noteMitandersfors is a small gem, in the middle of the otherwise quite flat Finnskogen. Here there is a ski slope in the valley behind the house and a few meters down to the beach at Varaldsjøen where Bogselven (which looks like a lake and not a river) which is located right below the house, flows into. Here it is just as nice to be in summer as in winter and autumn as in spring. The house is well insulated and it is definitely a year-round home with four heat pumps that heat in winter and cool down the house in summer. It is a good place to come back to when you have been on a day trip in the woods or in one of the nearby towns. It’s nice to find peace here, it’s a place where you can really land.
