A cozy cottage by the lake in Karjalohja awaits you about an hour’s drive from the Helsinki metropolitan area. The cottage has a living room, bedroom, sleeping alcove, hallway, dressing room and sauna (approx. 44m2). In addition, guests have access to a guest house with two separate small rooms and sleeping accommodations for up to three. At best, the cottage’s facilities are used by 2-4 people during the winter months, but during the summer, even a larger group can fit. Here you can relax and enjoy your own peace.The spaceThe extension of the cottage was completed in August 2024 and the cottage grew with a large bedroom of about 15m2, where guests can also find a small workspace. The new space brings comfort and spaciousness to the cottage and the size of the main cottage (apartment area) increased to a comfortable approx. 44 m2. The kitchen has been completely renovated and has a refrigerator, induction stove, oven and microwave. There is no running water inside, carrying water (in summer with a pump from the lake directly to the corner of the terrace). However, we make sure that guests have 20 liters of drinking water at the cottage upon arrival and the road cooperative’s common well is about 200 meters away (more detailed instructions here). We will fill the tub with water for guests outside the summer season, and the sauna will have water ready for the first use. Inside the cottage, a urinal is installed in a space separate from the dressing room (Separett Pee), which brings comfort to the cottage. In addition, there is a neat “outdoor toilet” with Biolan’s composting toilet.We also offer guests a Wi-Fi connectionGuest accessThe cottage is safely behind the boom road during the winter, so for this reason, we hand over the keys to the guests ourselves or arrange a self-service check-in for the guest. During the summer (June-September) key handover/check-in as a self-service.
